Preserve Arkansas Ramble to Visit Grand Prairie

Arkansas Historic Preservation Program - Monday, September 25, 2017

Each fall, Preserve Arkansas hosts a “ramble” or bus trip to a different region of the state. The Ramble explores Arkansas’s heritage sites for an exceptional experience filled with history and fun. On November 4, the Rice Country Ramble will visit the Arkansas Grand Prairie to learn about the people who settled the region, the history of rice cultivation in Arkansas, the art of making duck calls, and more.

Ramblers will enjoy stops at Slovak, Fairmount, Stuttgart, St. Charles, DeWitt, and Arkansas Post. During the ride, Preserve Arkansas will be serving a variety of beverages.

Tickets are $125 per person and include motor coach transportation, historic site tours, snacks and libations on the bus, and meals. Register online at before October 27; seating is limited. For more information, please contact Preserve Arkansas at 501-372-4757 or [email protected].
