Clinton Presidential Park Bridge - 1200 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock AR

Additional Event Details

The historic Rock Island Railroad Bridge is the eastern-most of the six bridges that span the Arkansas River between downtown Little Rock and North Little Rock. The Choctaw and Memphis Railroad built it in 1899, and the Chicago Rock Island Pacific Railroad assumed control in 1904. The bridge is 1,614 feet long with three straight truss spans and one vertical lift span, which was added in 1972. After the Rock Island Railroad shut down in 1980, the bridge was neglected until the city of Little Rock gained control of it in 2001. It was renamed the Clinton Presidential Park Bridge and opened to pedestrian/bicycle use in 2011.
