Junction Bridge, Little Rock Riverfront Park (June 5)

Originally construed in 1884, with later alterations, the Junction Bridge was operated by the Union Pacific Railroad to carry trains across the Arkansas River until 1984. In 2001, the bridge was adapted into a bike and pedestrian bridge, connecting the Little Rock River Market to North Little Rock’s Verizon Arena. We will meet at the foot of the bridge on the Little Rock (South) side of the Arkansas River.

This is event is free and open to the public. This event does not require an RSVP.Those attending the tours are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, seasonally and weather appropriate clothing, and exercise respect for property owners and pedestrians when parking. Tours generally occur rain or shine, however those interested should follow the AHPP’s Facebook page for any last minute news about tours as severe weather has caused postponements or rescheduling in the past.
