Historical Markers in Arkansas
Though the State of Arkansas has no formal historical marker program, the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program is developing a database on the metal markers that have been created and are located around the state.
Click here to search the database of historical markers in Arkansas.
Anyone with knowledge of historical markers in Arkansas is asked to provide as much of the following information as is possible:
- Subject or title of the markers
- County in which they are located
- Nearest city
- Physical location of the markers (address, intersection, etc.)
- Organization that sponsored the markers
- Date they were dedicated.
The information, along with photographs of the markers, can be mailed to the AHPP at 1500 Tower Building, 323 Center St., Little Rock, AR 72201, or sent via e-mail message to info@arkansaspreservation.org.
