The small anthropomorphic painting is similar to depictions of humans at rock art sites elsewhere in Arkansas. The quadruped might represent an animal being hunted by the anthropomorph. This would be unusual for Arkansas due to the relatively low incidence of hunting related rock art. The quadruped quite strongly resembles a horse. If so, this would provide an indirect, approximate age to the pictograph (protohistoric times). The yellow pigment of the hand impression is a first for Arkansas.
